Mentorship project within the scope of the Conventions and Special Events course
In October 2020, a mentorship project was carried out within the scope of the Conventions and Special Events course at Boğaziçi University Department of Tourism Administration in collaboration with the MPI Turkey Club. As a requirement of the project, students were divided into groups and a mentor was assigned to each from the MPI Turkey Club.
MPI (Meeting Professionals International) is the leading association in Meetings and Events Industry with more than 17,000 international members. MPI Turkey Club is the Turkish Chapter of MPI Global composed of select and experienced professionals from the Turkish Meetings and Events Industry. The aim of the project is to explain and train the students on how to plan and execute an event project from a professional perspective, to encourage them to join the Meetings & Events industry and to introduce them to the MPI community. In line with this purpose, the students with the highest scores will be granted one year MPI membership by the MPI Turkey Club Board.
